TOP DIVE SITES – NORTH CYPRUS




Ancient Wreck – the ship sank in this area more than two thousand years old. The wreck was discovered in 1965 and restored by underwater archeologists. The remains of 15 m long vessel lie at a depth of 24 m. Diving here is for the history rather than for marine life.

Bambi – this is a shallow (14 m) and easy dive, ideal for beginners. It is more or less flat area and can be a good location for night dives. Divers can admire a beautiful 150 m long reef, large boulders, colourful fish and other marine organisms. Even turtles can be seen in this area.

Fred – this site offers beautiful coral formations but the real attractions here are the friendly fish – groupers, breams, triggerfish, waiting for some food that divers bring (boiled eggs, bread). The depth ranges from 13 to 29 m.

Karpaz wreck – the wreck lies at a maximum depth of 16 m. Divers can also admire picturesque scenery with colourful sponges and abundant marine life. There is a wide cave at a depth o 28 m in this area.

Paradise – this is a deep and excellent dive. With a depth ranging from 24 to 43 m – it is a diving paradise. Reef, walls, holes, canyons and abundant marine life.

Pinocchio – the scenery here is very picturesque, with boulders and rock formations, colourful sea slugs and abundant fish species. The average depth is 20 m.

Plane Wreck – the wreck lies at a depth of 12 m. It is a recent discovery, not completely identified. The circumstances of the crash are unknown. Probably, it was a fighter plane from the period of World War II. This is a shallow and easy dive with a the maximum depth of 24 m.

Power Station – unique rock formations (pyramid rocks, large boulders, holes) covered with colourful sponges and abundant marine life make this site really exciting. There is also a huge cave with a wide entrance at a depth of about 30 m. The depth ranges from 9 to 30 m but currents can occur. Thus this is mainly recommended for experienced divers.

Zephyros – the main attractions here are large reef systems, unique rock formations and old anchors. The maximum depth is 32 m but there is also much to see at 20 m. This dive site is good both for beginners and advanced divers.

Zeyko – the main attraction at Zeyko is a beautiful reef and some magnificent rock formations (walls, holes). Colourful sponges, corals and fish species make this dive a good choice. The depth ranges from 12 to 40 m.
