National dish

Eliópitta – olive bread
Takhinópitta – pastry with sesame paste
Kolokótes – triangular pastry stuffed with pumpkin, wheat and rasins
Börek – fried semolina pastry, filled with mincemeat or halloumi cheese
Mantı – Turkish ravioli filled with mincemeat, served with yogurt, garlic and chili oil
Pirohu – Turkish tortellini with halloumi cheese
Aïráni – refreshing and nourishing drink made from yogurt, salt, water and mint


Electricity

Cyprus’s electricity runs on 240V/50Hz. The plugs have 3 pins. Converters can be bought at the local shops (2 euro).
