CLIMATE



Cyprus lies in the Mediterranean climate zone. Winters are short and mild. Summers are long, dry and warm. Autumn and spring seasons are very short. Snow can be seen only in Troodos Mountains during winter.






Temperatures


The average monthly temperatures: 10–12ºC in February and 26–28ºC in August. The average water temperature: 16ºC in winter and 25ºC in summer.


Precipitation

Annual total precipitation: 355 mm on the lowland of Mesaria and 800 mm in the mountains.
