CLIMATE



Climate along the coast is temperate, influenced by the North Atlantic Current. Winters are mild and summers are warm. Climate in the internal part of Norway is cooler, with cold summers and winters.




Temperatures


The average monthly temperatures in winter: (-17)ºC in Karasjok, (-4)ºC in Oslo and 1ºC in Bergen. The average monthly temperatures in summer: 6ºC in the north and 15ºC in the south. The average water temperature: 2ºC in winter and 13–18ºC in summer.


Precipitation

Annual total precipitation: 400 mm in Laponia Plateau and 2000 mm in southwest.
