Climate in Romania can be described as transitional between temperate and continental. Summers are hot and sunny, winters are cold.





Temperatures

The average monthly temperatures in winter: from -6ºC in the mountains to 0ºC on the coast. The temperatures in summer are between 23–35ºC.


Precipitation

Annual total precipitation: 400 mm on the coast, 450 mm in the lowlands, 1000–1400 mm in the mountains.
