GETTING AROUND
By bus
Public transport in Luxembourg and other major cities is based on bus networks that are very efficient. Tickets and passes can be bought at major hotels, tourist offices, hostels, bus stations and on board.
By taxi
Taxis are rather expensive. They can be found at taxi stands or ordered by phone. Taxis cannot be hailed in the street.
By car
Driving is on the right side of the road. International and foreign driving licenses are accepted. Driver must also have third party insurance and ownership/rental documents. A Green Card is recommended. Driver and passengers must wear seat belts. Children under age of 12 must travel in the back seats. Speed limits: built-up areas – 50 km/h, outside built-up areas – 90 km/h, motorways – 120 km/h.
