GETTING AROUND
By bus/tram
Copenhagen has a very efficient metro system but it is also possible to travel by bus or S-tog (the overland trains).
By taxi
Taxis can found at taxi stands, hailed in the street or ordered by phone. Vacant taxis have a green light on the roof. All vehicles are equipped with taximeters.
By car
Driving is on the right side of the road. International driving licenses are accepted. Drivers must also have insurance documents and car registration documents. Drivers must not drive with a blood alcohol level of more than 0.25 grams/litre. Driver and passengers must wear seat belts. Speed limits: built-up areas – 50 km/h, motorways – 130 km/h, open roads – 80 km/h. Dipped headlights must be on at all times. Mandatory equipment includes headlamp converters, a warning triangle and a visibility vest.
