To Malta

By air

Air Malta operates regular scheduled flights out of almost 30 European airports and the similar number of charter flights as well. All flights operate into and out of Malta International Airport.

By sea

There is also a possibility to get to Malta

To Gozo

By sea

In order to get to Gozo from Valletta take bus number 45 to Cirkewwa ferry terminal. Journey lasts 70 minutes. The Gozo Channel Company operates cruises from Cirkewwa to Mgarr every 45 minutes. Cruise lasts 25 minutes.

By air

The alternative to Gozo Channel ferry is the seaplane (not available in winter). You can take the seaplane from the Valetta Waterfront.

To Comino

There are two ways to get to Comino. There are regular cruises operated from Cirkewwa (Malta) and Mgarr (Gozo) to Comino. The alternative is to charter a yacht.

GETTING AROUND

By bus

Buses run regularly throughout Malta and Gozo. The main bus terminal in Malta is situated in Valletta just outside the city gate. The buses run until 10pm.

By taxi

Taxis can be hailed (except the black ones) or taken from a taxi rank. In order to avoid nasty surprise it is advisable to agree on a price before the journey.

By car

Driving is on the left side of the road. Foreign licenses are accepted. Driver must not drive with a blood alcohol level of more than 0,08 per mill. Driver and passengers must wear seat belts (if available). Speed limits: in built-up areas – 50 km/h, elsewhere – 80 km/h.
