By bus/tram
In major cities one can travel by buses, minibuses or trolleybuses. Tickets can be purchased from kiosks or on board.
By taxi
Taxis are inexpensive compared to Western Europe. They can be found at taxi stands, hailed in the street or ordered by phone. All taxis have a ‘taksi’ sign on the roof and are equipped with taximeters.
By car
Driving is on the right side of the road. International and foreign driving licenses are accepted. Driver must also have car registration documents and the liability insurance policy. It is forbidden to drive with alcohol level higher than 0.4 milligrams per milliliter of blood. Driver and passengers must wear seat belts. Speed limits: built-up areas – 60 km/h, country roads – 90 km/h, highways – 110 km/h from 1 October to 1 May and 130 km/h from 1 May to 1 October. The mandatory equipment include first aid kit, fire extinguisher and warning triangle.
