By bus/tram
In Tirana one can travel by bus. The city has numerous bus lines.
By taxi
Taxis in Albania are relatively cheap. They can be found on taxi stands or ordered by phone. The fare should be confirmed before the journey starts as taxis are not equipped with taximeters.
By car
First of all, travelers who intend to drive in Albania should remember that roads are poor and there is no roadside assistance. Driving is on the right side of the road. International driving licenses are accepted. Driver must also have insurance documents and car registration documents. The alcohol limit is 0.0 grams per litre of blood. Driver and passengers must wear seat belts. Speed limits: built-up areas – 40 km/h, other roads – 80 km/h.
